Jessica Wade, MAMFT, LPCCWe offer our best work... because you deserve it.
It’s nice to meet you.
Hi. I’m Jessica Wade. I founded Alfa Counseling and Consultation because I came to learn that when you’re seeking counseling, you want to know that you’ve found someone who GETS IT. We keep hearing from our clients that telling their story is easier than they expected, because they know we get it. When you see a professional at Alfa Counseling, you’re seeing a specialist. A professional who truly gets your situation and whose compassion for your needs is clear.
In the therapy room, we listen before we speak. We listen closely to understand YOU first because you are the focus of our time together. We ask thoughtful questions and are truly curious to know you deeply, so that we can collaborate with you to create a well-thought, customized and evidence-based plan to help in real and practical ways.
I chose to foster a group practice where highly trained professionals can focus on their best work, so that our clients can be assured of quality care. We practice the belief that happy therapists provide better care and we focus on creating an affirming environment not only for our clients, but also for our team to feel empowered. I am a firm believer that a jack-of-all-trades is a master of none, which is why I empower my team to focus on their very best work. I believe this is the level of care all of our clients deserve.

A little about my professional background…
In addition to a Clinical Counselor license, I received the highest honors, graduating top of my class in both of my Master’s Degrees in Marriage and Family Therapy and in Christian Counseling. My approach to counseling is faith-embracing (meaning that I can help you explore YOUR own beliefs) and full of optimism for your growth and change. It is based firmly in evidence-based techniques such as Gottman relationship approaches, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing to name a few.
I received my graduate clinical training in one of the nation’s front-runners in the practice of Narrative Therapy, where I gained valuable experience using this strengths-based approach to help couples and adult individuals make the life and relationship changes they desired. My post-graduate advanced training has centered on relationship, family, ethics, and post-partum treatment. While most counselors and social workers take just 1 or 2 classes on these topics, I have devoted my professional career to them.
Prior to branching out into business ownership, I worked in both a group private practice and in community mental health settings. I have continually sought rigorous opportunities to grow and develop as a clinician and as a leader. As a result, I gained the expertise necessary to carve my spot as a trusted resource to other professionals and a consultant to other therapists.
